Brian Hoffman
Lead Pastor
Brian Hoffman has been a part of the First Baptist Church family since August 2018. He grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia and enjoys teaching God’s Word and providing leadership to the staff and church members at FBC. You will often find he and his wife, Jessica, at the soccer fields with their three children: Troy, Daniella, and Tyler. Jessica and Brian have been married since 2008. In his free time, he enjoys reading, jiu-jitsu, and spending time at the beach. He is also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Pastor Brian has a diverse background. Before serving as a pastor, he led a small business as a GM for over five years. He also served in the Virginia Army National Guard for six years (2006–2012) and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2007-2008) as Chaplain Assistant where he protected the Chaplain and ministered to soldiers. He has earned an Associate of Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Religion (Biblical Studies) from Liberty University, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
His favorite Bible verse is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
