Children’s Director

Compensation: $32,000 – $40,000 annually
Position Type: Full-time
Reports To: Family Ministry Director

Primary responsibility
Oversee the children’s ministry while assisting the Family Ministry Director with the administrative needs of the church.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee children’s and preschool ministries on Sundays and special events
  • Coordinate nursery, preschool, and elementary volunteers
  • Schedule workers and classrooms
  • Maintain curriculum and supplies
  • Communicate with parents
  • Ensure safe and organized environments for children

Additional responsibilities

  • Assist with office or operational projects
  • Help with event preparation
  • Assist with scheduling and logistics
  • Help with facility organization
  • Support church events and ministry activities
  • Or any other duties request by the Lead Pastor

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Candidates should have experience working with children, preferably in a church, ministry, school, or childcare setting. 
  • The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and able to lead volunteers effectively. 
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for working with parents, staff, and ministry teams. 
  • This person should be committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and well-structured environment for children and must align with the mission and values of the church.
